The Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort Lihue — a beachfront resort located two miles from Lihue Airport — recently announced it has appointed Jim Pedone as its new general manager, and Hannah Taito as resort manager.

"We are thrilled to announce Jim Pedone's elevation to general manager and welcome Hannah Taito to her new position as resort manager," said Jim Morrissey, regional vice president at Sonesta Hotels, in a statement. "Their proven abilities and dedication align seamlessly with our commitment to delivering unparalleled guest experiences and will help us position Royal Sonesta Kauai as a leading destination in the Hawaiian Islands.”

Pedone has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He first joined the property in 2021, and most recently served as the resort's director of sales and marketing.

"His deep understanding of the Hawaii market and dedication to delivering unparalleled guest experiences make him the ideal candidate to steer the hotel to new heights," as noted in the announcement.

Taito previously served as director of rooms, and "her exceptional track record in optimizing room revenues and fostering guest satisfaction is poised to bolster the hotel's market position," according to the announcement.
